Standards & Training, in the State of California. No previous Spanish experience required.
In
this
24 hour class (6x4 hour sessions over 6 weeks) small
groups of 8 to 15 officers learn Spanish the
same way they learned English - by hearing, repeating and asking
questions. You will
develop the fundamental language skills necessary to handle the most common law
enforcement situations. Colloquial expressions, slang and
profanities are included where appropriate. Vocabulary and usage are tailored to your professional
needs to maximize the effectiveness of your investment.
During the classes, Hispanic culture, politics, social and
family values are explained in the context of current
events. A variety of teaching
techniques is used to maintain the students’ interest. Included
are video clips and authentic latino food.
Cost: $400.00 (per
participant, minimum 8), courses offered in the San Francisco, San
Jose, Monterey, Salinas area.
Participants will
each receive our self study programs “Tactical Spanish for Law
Enforcement Officers” and “Tactical Spanish Slang and
Profanities”. These are used throughout the course to reinforce
classroom sessions by listening to the audio, completing exercises
and reviewing the answers and may be used as a refresher when the
classroom sessions are complete.

This 3 hour class introduces
participants to the Spanish language, bare essentials of
communication and the use of our self study program: Tactical
Spanish for Law Enforcement Officers. Topics include:
Field Interview Questions, Traffic Stops, Domestic Violence. The
cultural awareness section of the course includes: Videos with food
and beverages for participants.
No
previous Spanish experience is required.

Accelerated
Spanish for Correctional Officers
Our 4 hour
class introduces participants to the Spanish language basics and the
use of our self study program: Tactical
Spanish for Correctional Officers. Topics include: Field Arrest Report, Intake Health
Screening, Strip Search, Housing Assessment. The cultural awareness
section of the course includes: Videos, food and beverages for
participants.
No
previous Spanish experience is required.
