Alejandra Gómez

Alejandra Gómez studied languages at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, the Alliance Francaise in Mexico City and at the Goethe Institut in Munich. She also studied legal/court interpretation at San Francisco State University.

Ms. Gómez was Foreign Press Chief in the office of Carlos Salinas de Gortari (President of Mexico 1988 - 1994) from 1984 - 1987 during his tenure as Minister of Budget and Planning.

Since 1988 Alejandra Gómez has been teaching Spanish to executives at various companies such as: Apple Computers, Monterey Mushrooms, Oracle, Price Waterhouse, Stanford University, Sun MicroSystems, Valley Transit Authority and Police Departments including: Atherton PD, Gilroy PD, Menlo Park PD, Morgan Hill PD, Mountain View PD, Palo Alto PD, Redwood City PD, Salinas PD, San Carlos PD, City of San Mateo PD, San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, Santa Cruz Sheriffs and Sunnyvale PD.

Ms. Gómez offers classes tailored to all levels of students from absolute beginners to those just needing to "brush up" their skills and specializes in Public Safety and Law Enforcement. She also teaches the only Spanish language Community Emergency Response Team C.E.R.T. course for Latinos in California, this is sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
